Law schools by country

United States

206 schools are listed for this country, 203 with an official website.

Schools marked “ABA list” are matched to a school on the ABA Council's current list and have a full profile in the directory. A school without the mark was not matched. It may be a school outside the ABA list, a closed school, or a school listed under a different name, and only the California schools listed below carry a State Bar classification. For any other state, this page does not say whether a state authority accredits a school.

Outside the ABA list

California schools by State Bar classification

California lets people qualify for its bar through some schools the ABA does not approve. This is the State Bar of California’s own grouping, copied as published (read 2026-09-30). It is not a ranking, but the groups differ in what they mean for taking the bar exam, so check the State Bar’s rules before enrolling.
